:::BIO:::
Martine Elliott explores memory, movement, and place through abstract landscape painting. After a 23-year career as cabin crew with British Airways, she is now based in Exeter, carrying a lifetime of journeys into her practice. Informed by global travel, aerial viewpoints, and shifting light, her layered compositions—drawing inspiration from Gustav Klimt and Joan Mitchell—hover between observation and emotion. Rooted in culture and the organic world, her work invites the viewer to look from above, through, and beyond, encountering landscapes as lived, felt experiences rather than fixed locations.
